Sometimes our laptops select the wrong output. Here’s how to change the output as needed.

While this is very rare, it is possible to deny Windows 11 to connect to a particular audio source. Here’s how to check those settings.

Search for Settings in the Start menu

Select Sound from the list

Scroll down and select All sound devices

Select the device that is not listed on the speaker icon. In this example we’ll use Extron HDMI.

Click Allow to set Windows so that it can use the device.

If you see Don’t Allow, then the device is authorized.
